Why do birth control pills cause Side Effects?
The long list of side effects of birth control pills will force you to think twice before you use them. Moreover, some studies also have found that long-term use of oral contraceptives can actually worsen the PCOS. PCOS is a hormonal condition. In women, it’s over-dosage could result in infertility, i.e. inability to have a child.
Short-Term Side Effects of Birth Control Pills
1. Nausea
Some people experience nausea while taking the pill. If nausea persists for extended than 3 months, then you should seek medical direction. Nausea means stomach distress and feeling of wanting to vomit.
2. Breast Tenderness
Birth control pills might cause breast enlargement or tenderness. Anybody who finds a lump in the breast or who has insistent pain or tenderness or severe breast pain should pursue medical aid.
3. Headaches and Migraine
The hormones in contraception pills can increase the possibility of headaches and migraine. Using a low-dose pill might cut back the incidence of headaches.

4. Weight Gain
Clinical studies have not found a uniform link between the use of contraception pills and weight fluctuations.

5. Mood Changes
Studies recommend that oral contraceptives might have an effect on the user’s mood and danger of depression or different emotional changes.
6. Missed Periods
Even with appropriate pill use, a period may sometimes be missed.
7. Decreased Libido
The hormone or hormones within the birth control pill can affect sex drive or libido in some people.
8. Vaginal Discharge
Changes in vaginal discharge might occur when taking the pill. Vaginal discharge means vaginal dryness which causes infections.
9. Eye Changes
Hormonal changes caused by the contraception pill have been linked to a thickening of the cornea in the eyes. Oral contraceptive use has not been related to a higher risk of eye disease; however, it may mean that contact lenses no longer fit comfortably.
Long-Term Side Effects of Birth Control Pills
The following long-term side effects will occur only if you consume over-dosage of birth control pills.
1. Diabetes
The over dosage of pills can develop diabetes in the non-diabetic woman.
2. Risk of Cancer
The consumption of pills can increase the risk of breast cancer.
3. Gallstones
If you have gallstones already, pills will make these stones bigger. Thus the over-dosage should be avoided.
How condom will help you to prevent side effects of Birth Control Pills
Use of Latex Male Condom and Latex Female Condom will not only minimize the side effects of birth control pills but also it will help you to prevent their side effects. In addition, the use of a condom will prevent unwanted pregnancy.
But if you or your partner has forgotten to carry condom then do not rely on pills. These effects will cause many more other harmful things to your body.
